Sutcliffe Oval (NZ): In a nail biting thriller, Pakistan thrashed defending champion India by two wickets in the 4th quarter final of ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup here today at Sutcliffe Oval stadium.

Put into the bat, Indian set a modest target of 115 on board in allotted 23 overs. Pakistan reached the home with three balls remaining. Pakistan scored 117/8 in reply to India�s 114/9.

For India Mandeep Singh was the top scorer with 40 runs. Fyyaz Butt was the most successful bowler for Pakistanis. He took four wickets for 27 runs. Raza Hasan claimed three Indian wickets.

For India, pacer Sandeep Sharma and JD Unadkat tokk two wickets each.

Chasing a target of 115 runs, Pakistani opener failed to give good start and arch-rivals were reduced to 3/16 at a moment.

But Ahsan Ali (30), Rameez Aziz (28) and Hammad Azam (21 unbeaten) helped their side to reach the target.
